I have friends in Washington D.C.
I find it beneficial to call on several of them given the task that presents itself in upcoming book #5 of the
Letter Series. But sometimes those who profess to be our friend may cease to be so. Their own
situation may have changed, or, in fact, they may never have truly been our friend in the first
place. And choices—ours, or theirs—can often dictate our actions in each situation.
Our required activities are often such that we must proceed relying on the assumption that an
individual is truly our friend. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, it is said. But with
the work that I do, one must keep friends and enemies equally close. Only those who have
proven their fidelity, are allowed to be close without concern.
In book #5 of the Letter Series, loyalty is at a premium. Lives depend on it. Some meet the test, others do not.
