I love writing mystery suspense stories. I never know where ideas will come from. New ones are always in my head! Sometimes I need to step back into reality and relate to the world in which I really live!
At a very young age I loved books and by reading, in my mind, I could go anywhere I wanted. I started reading Hemingway, Mark Twain, Jack Schaefer and John Steinbeck to name a few. I always thought I would like to write stories like those authors. However, life intervened. My CPA career did not leave room for writing. It wasn’t until retirement that I again started having those writing ideas. At 68 I decided to test the waters and see what I could do. I chose Mystery Suspense as my Genre, thinking it was a good place to start. So far, I’ve not been disappointed.
I enjoy writing stories and I still like reading other authors’ work. I’m impressed with their skills and ability to tell an interesting story with a good plot that keeps you wanting more. Currently, I’m reading John Grisham, Tom Clancy and a few others. I often have more than one going at the same time.
